To Cross The Bridge Or Jump Off The Bridge - Anoop Sequeira* _(Corporate Trainer | Business Coach | Restaurant & Hospitality Consultant)_
I happened to drive across the now-(in)famous bridge over the *Netravati river* a few hours after it was confirmed that the *Coffee King* was no more. RIP Sir.
Two thoughts crossed my mind as my car breezed over the bridge.
*(1). "Was it really worth it to jump off the bridge?"*
*(2). "What would it have taken to have crossed the bridge?"*
*Life,* as we may have all experienced, has its share of turbulence and rough weather. A miserable relationship or a boss who harasses you or an unprofitable business venture. Calling it quits on a souring relationship or walking out of an unsatisfying job or winding up a failed business venture is a better option rather than calling it *QUITS ON LIFE.* There is more to *Life* than *Success* or *Failure at Work* or *Assets & Liabilities.* Our *Family* and *Near & Dear ones* are our greatest *ASSETS.*
By jumping off the bridge the problems do not go away. In fact, it just gets inherited by the next in line at work or by the heirs. The one who goes away does not live to see the pain or the misery that he/she has left the others in.
Is our life today purely defined by success or failure in an exam or an appraisal or on a balance sheet? Not at all. It is never too late to start all over again. As *Jack Ma states - GIVING UP IS THE GREATEST FAILURE..*
There are numerous bridges of hardship to cross in life and it is certainly worth crossing each bridge. *A disturbed mind and a moment of weakness can snap even the best of us.* In these moments, it is best to *reach out to A Friend, talk to A Colleague, Confide in your Siblings or A Mentor or just Talk to Yourself,* but *PLEASE DON'T JUMP OFF THE BRIDGE!!!*
