The idea of sitting down for dinner with a 300lb bear is enough to put most people off their food.
But for one family from ‪‎Russia‬ this wild idea is actually a way of life that extends far beyond sharing the odd meal at the dinner table.
On the surface Svetlana and Yuriy Panteleenko appear like any other ordinary couple, but for their 23-year-old bear named Stepan.
Standing at more than seven foot, the large mammal is so domesticated the family often sit down together in the evenings to watch television.
Svetlana said: 'Stepan likes nothing more than to cuddle up with us on the sofa at night while we're watching television.
'When we adopted him, he was only three-months-old and had been found by hunters in the forest having lost his mother. He was in a very bad condition.
'He absolutely loves people and is a really sociable bear - despite what people might think, he is not aggressive at all. We have never been bitten by Stepan.
'He's got so many talents and loves a picnic. It's a wonder he doesn't eat us out of house and home.'

This is observed around the world every year on May 31. It is intended to encourage a 24-hour period of abstinence from all forms of tobacco consumption around the globe.

Second Longest-living Person in the World - 120-year-old Russian Woman
 
A 120-year-old Russian woman has entered the record books as the second longest-living person in the world.
Born in 1896, Tanzilya Bisembeyeva has lived in a small village in the Astrakhan region of southern Russia all her life.
Bisembeyeva's first husband was killed during World War II and their child died during infancy, leaving her alone at the age of 49 when the war ended. A second marriage proposal followed and she had her first son at the age of 53. She now has three sons, 10 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
According Russia's Book of Records, Tanzilya Bisembeyeva is the second longest-living person in the world after Jeanne Calment of France, who lived for over 122 years and died in 1997.
Bisembeyeva's relatives say that she "never sits still, doesn't smoke and eats only organic produce" and enjoys a positive outlook on life.

Man stuck his head in washing machine, has to be freed by fire fighters
 
A man pushed his head into the spinner of his washing machine to check for the cause of its malfunction, only to be stuck there in southeast ‪‎China‬'s ‪‎Fujian‬ province on May 29, 2016.
His friends have tried out every possible method to pull his head out, but all in vain. Eventually fire fighters arrived at the scene. After 40 minutes' rescue work, the man was freed from the biting machine. Luckily for the man, the incident caused on injury on him.

Firefighters rescue a boy stuck in washing machine in the city of Nanjing in east China's Jiangsu Province.
The two-year-old boy from China's Jiangsu Province was climbing into the spin dryer of a twin-tub washing machine to fetch his toy when he got his leg stuck tightly in the basket on Thursday morning, according to his mother.
