The World's Largest Nest
The largest nest in the world is built by a bird that lives in Australia, the Talégalo red-headed or weedy turkey, a distant relative of giant birds that arrived in Australia when it became independent of supercontinent Gondwana. In order to get ahead, you must build a giant nest by piling up leaves and letting them decompose, creating a micro climate with a suitable temperature for the eggs. It is a rare and amazing nest at the same time as it is the largest nest in the world.
