Earlier this year, an Israeli newspaper welcomed the appointment of the country's newest justice minister by stating, "who cares if she's beautiful, she's dangerous".As the country's youngest person to ever hold the position, Ayelet Shaked, has stirred controversy with her remarks on Palestinians and "African infiltrators" . She has been a vocal opponent of Palestinian statehood and her country's own Supreme Court.In an interview, recorded during Shaked's visit to the UN General Assembly in September, Mehdi Hasan challenged the hardline minister on the rise of xenophobia and racism in Israel, treatment of the Palestinians and the future of the "peace process".
