Lionesses Attacking Male Lion
In Tanzania, two Lionesses and three cubs were resting near a large male lion when they were charged by three Cape buffalo. The lions ran and one of the cubs became separated from the mother. Possibly the lionesses thought the male was trying to kill the missing cub and they attacked him viciously.
