How can I learn to program?
If you want to learn to code, you have to be able to understand documentation and tutorial. If you can't learn on your own (which I'd highly doubt) you can't/shouldn't learn to code. I learnt java only from the internet and a book. Everyone around me who has a decent ability to code uses the internet. The internet is always there but I don't think your teacher will keep on helping you.
There are a large number of blog or website that provides free learning facility. There are numerous tutorials in youtube as well. Here's a link of youtube channel which will help you learn different programming softwares.
