1) Clarke Quay
 


Clarke Quay was named after Singapore's second governor, Sir Andrew Clarke. Clarke Quay is popular among the younger crowd for the vast selection of nightclubs and reverse bungees, but there are many boutiques and restaurants worthy of checking out as well. Clarke Quay is located upstream from the mouth of the Singapore River and Boat Quay.

 


2) Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
 

 

The temple originates from the Tang dynasty, in terms of structure. It is said that the relic of Buddha was found in a collapsed stupa in Myanmar in 1980, hence the name of the temple. You can find the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple in central Chinatown.

 


3) Singapore Flyer
 


The giant Ferris wheel reaches over 541 feet (165 meters) and offers a view that is simply incredible, to say the least! The Singapore Flyer opened in 2008, and it was the largest Ferris wheel in the world at the time. Each car can hold around 28 people, perfect for accommodating large groups. The Marina Bay Sands first opened in 2010, and set the record for being the most expensive building in the world. The cost to build the Sands was over $5.7 billion! The luxurious resort features shops, a skating rink, fine dining at top restaurants, an art science museum, and one of the largest convention centers in all of Asia.

 


5) Singapore Botanic Gardens
 


Nature lovers will simply adore the beautiful outdoor environment of the Singapore Botanic Gardens. The garden is open all day from 5 a.m. in the morning until midnight, making it the only garden in the world that offers a full day viewing experience. Admission is free, but there is a fee to enter the National Orchid Garden. The orchid garden is the most visited site there, with over 60,000 species of plants and animals.

 


6) Resorts World Sentosa
 


The Resorts World Sentosa are located on an island off the southern coast of the country. The main sites to visit if you're staying on the Resorts, are the Marine Life Park and Dolphin Island. There is even a large casino on the resorts, if you're feeling a bit lucky! The seaside views are simply stunning as well.

If you're in the mood to do some shopping, you'll definitely want to pay a visit to Orchard Road. Orchard Road is one of the premier shopping places in the world that stretches over 2.2km (1.3 miles). The Botanic Gardens can be found on the northern side of Orchard Road. The Istana, which is the White House of Singapore, is based on the southern side of the famous road.

Gardens by the Bay consists of three separate gardens, which are called the Bay South Garden, the Bay East Garden and the Bay Central Garden. The Bay South Garden features The Flower Dome, The Cloud Forest, and a children's garden with an adventure trail. You won't want to miss the conservatory complex either. You'll definitely want to have your camera ready here!

 


9) Night Safari
 


As the name suggests, the Night Safari, is ideal for people who love to go out when the sun goes down! The exotic safari first opened its doors in 1984, and has since remained one of the country's premier tourist attraction sites. It is also the first nocturnal zoo in the world. The safari attracts over a million visitors each year.

 


10) Raffles Hotel
 


This legendary hotel dates all the way back to 1887, and was frequented by world renowned authors. Among the well-known authors who stayed at The Raffles Hotel was Ernest Hemingway, Somerset Maugham, and Rudyard Kipling. The hotel also features a museum that sits on the 3rd floor.
