Here are a couple photos of our ascent to, and our night spend in Camp 1. Step by step, Fred, Kobi and I are making our way safely to the summit of the mountain of our dreams: K2. We are so excited to have made it up to Camp 1, and cannot wait to climb up to Camp 2. Let's hope the weather and snow conditions turn quickly into our favour!
K2 expedition 2008, Triumph & Tragedy
In the summer of 2008 an international expedition, led by expedition leader Wilco van Rooijen, climbed the 8611m high K2 in Pakistan, without supplementary oxygen.
