Macedonia and Bulgaria are neighboring countries in the Balkans that have walked together in many stages of their history. They represent the past, present, and future of a region with a special relevance in the history of European nations. If you ever have the opportunity, please take your time to visit these two fascinating countries, definitely, the pearls of the Balkans. This travel documentary is not intended to provide an exhaustive review of both countries. It simply reflects my views and experiences during a sixteen-day family trip in August 2014.
