Ittoqqortoormiit is one of the most remote towns in Greenland, only reachable by helicopter or by boat a few months a year. It is located on the longest and largest fjord system in the world, making for stunning landscapes. Visitors also have a chance of spotting narwhals, walruses, seals, polar bears or sea birds in the region.
Greenland Dog
The Greenland Dog is a large breed of husky-type dog kept as a sled dog and for hunting polar bear and seal. This is an ancient breed, thought to be directly descended from dogs brought to Greenland by the first Inuit settlers.
