Goreme, Turkey
Göreme located among the "fairy chimney" rock formations, is a town in Cappadocia, a historical region of Turkey. It is in the Nevehir Province in Central Anatolia and has a population of around 2,500 people.
The only thing better than seeing Goreme's stunning rock formations (into which enormous, beautiful churches have been built)? Experiencing them from a hot air balloon, hundreds of feet overhead.
