As a pert of International Laughter day, May 4, 2014 at 630am we are organising laughter yoga at Puthirikandam Maithan, East Fort. and four days free classes on Laughter Yoga, Laughter Meditation and video of International Laughter Yoga club founder Dr. Matan Kataria. The classes will start on 6 May at 6.30 am at Vivekananda Institute hall, Palayam and 6.00pm at Theosophical society hall, Chenthitta.

World Laughter Day, May 4, 2014
World Laughter Day takes place on the first Sunday of May of every year. The first celebration was on January 11, 1998, in Mumbai, India, and was arranged by Dr. Madan Kataria, founder of the worldwide Laughter Yoga movement.
World Laughter Day 2014 takes place on May 04. Laughter is a positive and powerful emotion that has all the ingredients required for individuals to master themselves and to change the world. The day is now celebrated worldwide.
The celebration of World Laughter Day was meant to be a positive manifestation for world peace and to build up a global consciousness of brotherhood and friendship through laughter. Its popularity has grown exponentially with that of the Laughter Yoga movement, which is now counting over 6000 Laughter Clubs worldwide on all 5 continents.
LAUGHTER YOGA and LAUGHING CLUB
Smiling is a gift of human being, which makes him capable to get rid off tension, fear, worries, disappointment, negative thinking, anger etc, which are the root cause of various diseases. It also develops positive thinking and keeps one undisturbed even in unfavorable conditions. Smile stimulates our facial muscles, the face of such person become charming and attractive. Whosoever comes in contact with such persons is influenced automatically with their personality.
The positive attitude of such persons will produce useful hormones in body, which increases vitality and working efficiency. Sorrowful, worried, tensioned, frightened, disappointed and angry person cannot smile. If they start smiling knowingly or unknowingly negative attitude will disappear automatically because both are opposed to each other.
When smile changes into laughing it works as a healthy tonic. Laughing is a most effective healing process of mind. Laughing combined with yoga, stretching, breathing, play and exercises is called Laughter yoga or Hasyayoga. It is the easiest natural way to remove toxins of body. In laughter yoga, we have laugh with full force or capacity. True laughing appears like a cannon shot and eliminates negative feelings immediately. The inner organs of body get easy massage through laughing, endocrine glands and Energy Centres become active, which increase resistance power. It develops positive thinking and self-confidence and reduces sorrows feels freshness of the body
Laughing in open air with fresh atmosphere causes more intake of oxygen that activates body cells more powerful and working capacity of lungs increases. Blood purification process become fast, B P becomes normal, mental tension and fear goes away and pain is relaxed. Coronaries, which are our lifelines, get fresh air easily by laughing. Thus laughing cures or help to cure almost all the diseases. Laughing is the easiest effective remedy in particular diseases related to tension, whether it may be Heart, Blood pressure, Diabetes etc. Laughter aids digestion, stimulates heart, strengthens muscles, activate the brain's creative function and keep us alert. Laughter yoga is a healthy lifestyle; it is an internal cleaning process of body, use it as an option to reduce medicines. .
Practice laughter yoga with empty stomach, in the morning and in the fresh atmosphere of open air. Laugh silently with full capacity, which give benefits of laughing. Every one should choose suitable period of laughing duration after considering one's capacity. Appropriate rest should be taken between two durations of laughing. Five minutes of such laughing, body get exercise approximately equal to one to two kilometer of walking. Laughing becomes more effective if we do it with closed eyes and concentrates on the diseased organ. Laughing in the morning facing rising sun is even more effective because benefit of solar energy is also easily available together with the benefit of laughing.
Laughing to tease some one is cruel and is strictly prohibited. When alone, one can do silent Laughing by keeping lips closed; therefore, the people of all Categories without any hesitation can practice laughter yoga and it is the easiest, safest, surest, quickest way of remaining healthy. It is self-possessed, self-controlled, all time available, free and effective source to get rid off any disease. The laughter yoga is preventive as well as curative method to keep one healthy.
