Fearless female highliners perform jaw-dropping moves 3,300 feet above Yosemite National Park
Professional slackliners Emily Sukiennick and Hayley Ashburn took to the ropes to perform at 3,300ft up in the air at Taft Point, California.
The amazing images were captured by photographer Jared Alden, 31, who was amazed at the girls' backbreaking moves.
A split personality: Female slacklining pro Hayley Ashburn does the splits on a highline above the Yosemite Valley floor at Taft Point 'I get very varied reactions to the photographs, but he main ones are "That's crazy", "I would never do that", "How do you get the line across?", "Are you wearing a safety leash"' and "Stay away from my children".'Usually people are just over-reacting to my highlining images because they see something outside of what is ordinary and comfortable to them.
'If my highlining images can just inspire people enough to go setup a small simple slackline in their own backyard then I am happy-stoked because that's where it all began for me.'Most people don't believe in themselves enough and say they could never do it but I believe many of these very people could actually do it.'
Fearless female: Hayley begins her journey on the tight rope, testing her balance in a squat high above the California valley
Drop it low: Hayley balances on the highline wearing a swami security line as she does a slacklining move known as the double drop with no hint of losing her balance
Yose-rious? With the Yosemite valley far below her feet, Emily Sukiennick tries her hand at the daring double drop at Taft Point
High on life: The girls' moves on the thin wire almost makes onlookers forget the beauty of the Californian national park
Seemingly unmoved by the height or the fact that her only security is a thin leash attached around her waist, Hayley performs yet another double drop
Inspiration: Photographer Jared Alden used his images of Hayley and Emily, pictured doing a double drop, to get his own wife to try slacklining.
