Japan holds a live-fire military exercise of Mount Fuji
 

1. Japanese Ground Self-Defence Forces tanks move through an umbrella of barrage during an annual live fire exercise

 at the Higashi-Fuji firing range in Gotemba, at the foot of Mount Fuji




2. Tracer bullets ricochet off their targets as Japanese Ground Self-Defence Force armoured tanks fire machine guns during an annual night training session in front of Mount Fuji




3. A member of Japan's Ground Self-Defence Force launches a hand-held anti-tank rocket during the annual live-firing exercise at the Higashi Fuji training range in Gotemba, southwest of Tokyo

 Japan Holds Military Drill

The Japanese Self Defence Forces (JSDF) demonstrated their military capabilities in an annual drill at the foot of Mount Fuji in Shizuoka Prefecture on Tuesday

. The live-fire exercise involved some 2,400 soldiers, 80 tanks and armoured vehicles, 80 artillery units, 30 aircraft and 600 other military vehicles.
