[nidokidos] An Island of Cats in Japan [27 Attachments]

أوشيما جزيرة يابانية كان يسكنها بعض الصيادين وبسبب الفئران التي كانت تتلف شباك الصيد فقد تم جلب مئات القطط الى الجزيرة لمكافحة الفئران. الآن يسكن الجزيرة فقط 17 شخصا وبقية سكانها من القطط مما جعلها مكانا مهما لزيارة السياح...ولله في خلقه شؤون

Aoshima is a Japanese island that is home to hundreds of cats. Cats were originally imported to the islands to deal with mice that were eating the fishing nets post World War II. There used to be 900 people on the island but now there are only 17 people and the cats have become a tourist attraction.

Tourists from around Japan have been flocking to a tiny fishing community, to see what has been nicknamed Cat Island. The 22 humans who live on Aoshima, off Ehime prefecture, are greatly outnumbered by a population over of 120 cats.
